This afternoon I spent some time on the phone with Rudy, the director of Harambee. We are going to be so busy - I don't know how it will all get done - but the major part of evidence from our conversation is that we are seeing the way that God is already working and will for sure.
I have two big things that I need from each of you as soon as I can get it -
1. Your t-shirt size. You can post it in the comments or email me: james(at)sacchurch.org
2. This Sunday we are going to be praying for our team in the second service - many of you are in children's ministry, so it would be cool if you got out of that for 10 minutes - but we are also going to have "trading cards" for each of you in the bulletins. On one side will be the names of our entire team, on the other there will be the name of one individual and specific prayer requests for you. So it will say something like:
James Pray that I may have patience and compassion on all those who I serve. Pray that I am able to see the face of Jesus in the faces of L.A. Pray that I will lead our group as Jesus would want, so that we can become as Jesus would want.

and... THERESA Pray that God will give me courage to be bold and that He will give me the right things to say, Please also pray that I will be growing and learning from this experience.
Mandy! Pray for the patience to get through the week and the knowledge to know what is the right thing to do. Also that I will learn from this experience, and grow in leaps and bounds...
So yeah, you can mess with that if you want to, it's definitley not perfect
Joyce Please pray that God will grant me courage, patience, that he'll give me the words to say, and love for the people I'll meet. Pray that they'll see Jesus through me, and through the rest of the team.
T and Mandy this isn't about sounding good, this is what you honestly want people to pray for you for. So I don't think anyone but yourselves can mess with it.
Brianna Pray that God will guide me in the way I should go, that he will give me the words to say to people. Pray that he will give me patience and love for the people in L.A. as well as for our team.
Ok - so it's Friday morning and we have to make the cards up right now - so those that I don't have I am going to make up. I imagine it won't be too ofensive to you, since most of the prayer requests are similar, I'll stick to similarity.
Also - on Sunday we'll have some sample shirts for ordering sizes. And you may see the logo in second service on sunday.
Please pray for patience and courage for me. To day and do the right things. also that when people hear me talk that they hear Jesus, that when they see me they see Jesus. Please pray also that this will bring me closer in my relationship with God as well as the people going on the trip.
Pray that God will give me strgenth, courage and patience so I will be able to do anything. And please pray that I will not only teach other people about God. but I will also learn and grow in spiritual way. Barbora
