click on the title slide for the verses

These verses are talking about how awesome Jesus is, and everything that we will do for him is worth it and equal almost. But because he died on the cross, Paul says this: "So I am willing to endure anything." I love that - and it applies to us absolutely. Not only for LA, but in our everyday lives. ~Theresa

A part that i really like in these verses are when David says: " It['s what im sitting in jail for right now- but God's Word isn't in jail! That's why i stick it out here- so that everyone God calls will get in on the salvation of Chrise in all its glory." I like this part because to me its saying that God's Word isnt in the jail or confinement. Its out where people are. That he works in those people out in the world. And thats why he wrote timothy so that anybody who reads the Bible will recieve some knowlegde of what God is calling them to do.

The part that stuck out the most for me was that the word of God cannot be chained. I think this is important because in LA, I think a lot of people have tried to chain Him. We need to be willing to endure anything and everything, like Theresa said, not just in LA but in our everyday lives.

Oh my gosh these are cool verses. I like that they talk about what we do and what God will do to us in return. We definitley need to "stick it out" on this mission trip and God is definitley going to help us do that.

The Gospel can not be chained or tied down in any way. For the last 2000 years people have tried to, but they failed miserably. We suffer through persecution for the sake of Christ and for the sake of the persecuters. And if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, now I know James said to not say "I like these verses.." all the time, but ME FASCINA these verses.

No matter what happens God is in Control.

My favorite part of this verse is "If we disown him, he will also disown us". It's a reminder that even though God loves us no matter what that doesn't mean he likes us all the time. We need to stay faithful and loyal to God.

i think this verse is saying that we if we really want to accomplish anything that we need to ask God for help because with him if we were to die here then we go to heaven and we live with him so it is a win situation i think that this will help us on LA tommrow becasue we will be able to just look to God and thank him for everthing and no that everything is from him and that life can be WONDERFULL with him

To me the last verse is all about words of encouragement. It says even if we give up on him, he won't give up on us. No matter what he's there for us, he cares, he wants to help, he won't ever let you down! He's...well...perfect.
