Paul wants Timothy to keep trying. He doesn't want him to fail. He wants him to be strong for Jesus. Paul wants Timothy to keep teaching people about Jesus Christ, and Paul wants him to go through all the hard things in life like everyone else. *Amanda*
So...why on earth would Paul want Tim to go through the hard things?
I think what the last verse is saying is important. If someone in LA insults someone from our group, I think we need to take it as a group. We are unified and work together as a team for the same purpose. We are working as a group to teach others about Jesus and we are each others support system at the same time.
I really like what this verse is saying. If something should happen to one of us, we all take it or deal with it as a group. And i really like "throw yourself into this work for Christ". This really applies to us in that when we are in LA we just need to trust God and just throw ourselves in our work for Christ.
When something is hard..deal with it. We are supposed to give everything of ourselves to this mission. Yes, that will leave us emotionally and physically drained, but in the end...won't it be worth it to see what Christ has accomplished through us?
i think that this verese is saying that we need to just go out into the world and show everyone who God really is and if life starts getting hard tuff just deal with it and keep going i think this will help us on our trip becasue there is going to be alot of hard times and we need this kind of things to make sure that we are keeping ourselves strong
Everyone's already said what I think...but I'll say it again. Life is rough, but that's what makes it meaningful. What's even rougher is a life following Christ. It was never meant to be easy. We're not here to coast through life. We need to work hard, take everything in stride and work together to accomplish what God wants us to do. ~Heidi
I think this verse is saying that now is the time time to go out and share our faith. Try to help people, do whatever it takes, because it might be hard but we are strong together and if we stand behind each toher and support each other everything is going to be easier. barbora
I think the reason he wanted Tim to go through hard times because it would give him experience and he would be able to show empathy and sympathy with those who go through hard times all the time. So that he would be able to help them.
We should go through hard times to help us understand what these people in L.A. go through everyday.
